How do you make AI part of the way legal work actually gets done?

Understand how attorneys work
Legal teams need to connect new AI capabilities with their expertise and clients’ evolving expectations.
Ongoing work · Ashurst Perkins Coie
- 1Understand the legal bottleneck
- 2Connect data and AI workflows
- 3Support attorneys in practice
The challenge
AI in legal services starts with understanding how attorneys work, where their expertise creates the most value, and where new capabilities could meaningfully improve legal delivery.
Clients’ expectations are evolving alongside the technology. Legal teams need a practical way to connect those expectations with their expertise and everyday work.
My approach
I lead AI transformation across some of Ashurst Perkins Coie’s largest client relationships, connecting legal expertise, emerging technology, and people. My work spans legal and data engineering, tailored AI workflows and agents, adoption, and change management.
I track developments in frontier models and legal AI tools, then translate those capabilities into practical opportunities. That begins with understanding attorneys’ workflows and the bottlenecks they encounter.
I also help shape the client-facing conversation: demonstrating capabilities alongside partners and technology leaders, creating materials for AI pursuits, and working with vendors to evaluate and improve new tools.
The work underway
The work is ongoing: connecting AI’s capabilities with lawyers’ expertise and the expectations of increasingly technology-savvy clients.
My role is to bring the technical build, attorney adoption, and client strategy together so new capabilities have a useful place in legal service delivery.
